Forbes named Northrop Grumman “Company of the Year”, recognizing Kresa’s leadership in creating one of the world’s largest defense contractors and the nation’s largest shipbuilder.

Kresa is recognized as a visionary leader in aerospace and defense innovation, particularly in stealth technology development. His strategic transformation at Northrop pioneered the industry shift away from multiple contractors bidding together toward single companies developing comprehensive capabilities to reduce costs. This approach proved successful when Northrop won the B-21 stealth bomber program after Kresa’s tenure, validating his vision. BusinessWeek named him one of the Top 25 Managers, and he was inducted into the National Academy of Engineering for contributions to aeronautical technology.

A former U.S. Army officer and senior technical advisor at the National Security Agency (NSA), Arbaugh later became a Computer Science professor at the University of Maryland, where he led cutting-edge research in information security. He holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Pennsylvania and is renowned for turning academic breakthroughs into real-world security improvements. In 2004, Arbaugh founded Komoku, Inc., a startup specializing in advanced rootkit detection – technology designed to uncover stealthy malware hidden deep in computer systems. Under his leadership as President and CTO, Komoku developed innovative hardware and software tools to protect critical systems. Microsoft recognized Komoku’s value and acquired the company in 2008, integrating Arbaugh’s technology into the Windows operating system’s security and update suite. This integration helped safeguard hundreds of millions of Windows PCs by enhancing Microsoft’s ability to detect and remove sophisticated threats at the deepest levels of the system.

Arbaugh is also a key figure behind “secure boot,” a fundamental security feature in modern PCs. During his Ph.D. research, he pioneered a secure startup process that ensures computers only run trusted software when booting. This concept became a cornerstone of platform security, with Microsoft adopting secure boot in Windows 8 and Apple implementing similar principles in macOS and iOS. His work established a transformative new standard that protects devices from malware infections by anchoring trust at the hardware level.

A distinguished mathematician and cryptographer internationally recognized for his contributions to secure communications and encryption theory. A U.S. citizen and elected member of the Armenian National Academy of Sciences, Dr. Khachatrian co-authored the SAFER+ encryption algorithm, one of the finalists in the AES competition. His career spans decades of applied research in symmetric cryptography, algorithmic security, and mathematical modeling for government and private-sector projects worldwide.

A seasoned strategy and finance executive with over three decades of experience in corporate transactions, venture and private equity, and strategic finance across public and private markets. Francis has advised and led funding initiatives, M&A, and restructuring projects for companies in technology, defense, and emerging industries. His background combines deep analytical and operational expertise with board-level leadership in growth and turnaround environments. He holds an MBA from the Wharton School.

Craig previously served as a partner at Wyman, Bautzer, and as a senior advisor at a private equity firm founded by Gerald Pars­ky and William E.
